Adults in Junior Football

by LCJFC

adult-in-junior-footballWe are holding an Adults in Junior Football workshop which is being delivered by the Lancashire FA County Welfare Officer Neil Yates. This is a fantastic workshop that goes through various ways adults can help kids before, during and after football games, to help them and encourage them. The workshop has been delivered to well over 60 clubs all over the country with all of them coming back and saying that it was a real eye opener to parents, coaches and volunteers. We would love to see as many of you there as possible, the workshop is FREE so you dont have to worry about it costing anything.

VENUE: Vale of Lune Rugby Club, Powder House Lane, Lancaster, LA1 2TT.
DATE: Thursday 6th October
TIME: 7pm – 9pm

Anyone that is looking at becoming a coach or assistant we would highly recommend attending this workshop.

We welcome ALL parents, spectators, volunteers and coaches from ANY club to attend this workshop.

Maintenence Work

by LCJFC

The club has had a couple of maintenence days over this last week, with a lot of work been put in to get the containers and the pitches ready for the new season. The remainder of the old goal posts that got vandalised have now been removed and filled back in. We have managed to get access to one of the containers which hasn't been opened for a number of years. Unfortunately this needs a fair bit of work before it can be used for anything. One of the containers has had a fresh lick of paint with the others to follow. The new goal posts have had the holes dug and the new footings concreted in ready for us to put the new goals in place. There is still quite abit of work to do, but at the moment are working ahead of schedule in preperation for the new season.
